Wild Goose 2017 Mystic River Pinot Blanc

The five-acre vineyard lies beside the South Okanagan River near Oliver, where sandy clay and pea gravel form the site. That growing season began hot, then June brought unusual rain and cool weather before conditions normalized. Fruit ripened in separate waves and was processed in a timely manner. Ferments were clean, and the wines showed good backbone across the harvest.

About Wild Goose Winery
Wild Goose began in 1983 when Adolf Kruger bought land east of Okanagan Falls and planted Riesling and Gewürztraminer. The winery opened in 1990, with a focus on aromatic white wines. The Wyse family of Burrowing Owl acquired Wild Goose in 2021.
At Mystic River Vineyard near Oliver, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer grow beside the Okanagan River. The range includes varietal whites, late-harvest Gewürztraminer and the Autumn Gold blend.
