Blackberry and Marasca cherry emerge with sage and liquorice before lilac and violet add a floral lift. Midweight but saturated in flavour, the palate has a stony, granitic foundation, vibrant red-currant acidity and velvety, elegant tannins. The finish is savoury and persistent. Decant briefly and pair with lamb, duck or lentils with herbs.
