An aromatic white vermouth, with star anise, lemon verbena, angelica and quinine bringing layers of sweet herbs and citrus. About Padró i Família
Padró i Família was founded in 1886 at Bràfim in Tarragona, where the family has now worked through five generations. The winery makes the Padró & Co. vermouth range, beginning with base wines from Macabeo and Xarel·lo grown in the family’s vineyards.
Botanicals, aromatic herbs and citrus peels are selected to build each style’s balance of sweetness, bitterness and fragrance. Some expressions also spend time outdoors in the sun and night air after maturing in wooden casks, a method known as sol y serena. Winemaker Mario García oversees the vermouth production.
