Tamanohikari Junmai Ginjo Karakuchi 1.8 L

$99.99

Fresh rice and delicate orchard fruit lead a clean, understated aroma. The palate is distinctly dry, with natural acidity bringing a brisk, refreshing edge and a gentle savoury note adding depth. Its texture is smooth but never heavy, allowing the rice character to remain clear through the middle. The finish is crisp and composed, leaving a subtle umami impression and a pure, lightly mineral aftertaste.

About Tamanohikari Sake Brewing Co.
Tamanohikari began in Wakayama in 1673, when Nakaya Rokuzaemon received a licence to brew sake. After the original brewery was destroyed in the Second World War, the family rebuilt in Fushimi, Kyoto. In 1964 it brought junmai sake back into its range. Today it makes junmai ginjo and junmai daiginjo, without added brewing alcohol or sugar. It works closely with rice growers, polishes rice in-house and makes its koji by hand, using local Fushimi water for brewing.
