About Robert Weil
Robert Weil bought his first vineyards in Kiedrich in 1867 and established the estate in 1875. Fourth-generation Wilhelm Weil now leads the Rheingau estate, whose roughly ninety hectares of vineyards are devoted to Riesling. The wines range from dry Rieslings to late-harvest styles, with grapes picked by hand in repeated passes to select the right ripeness for each wine.
Above Kiedrich, the principal vineyards lie on steep, southwest-facing slopes in the Taunus foothills. Klosterberg, Turmberg and Gräfenberg are its leading sites; the 3.8-hectare Turmberg vineyard belongs entirely to the estate. The estate farms its vineyards organically.
