About Il Borro
Ferruccio Ferragamo acquired Il Borro in 1993 and began restoring the historic Tuscan estate and its agricultural activity. Vineyard renewal started in the mid-1990s, creating the basis for a modern wine programme in the Valdarno di Sopra area. Salvatore and Vittoria Ferragamo now hold operating roles within the family estate while Ferruccio remains part of its founding modern chapter.
Il Borro combines vineyards with olive groves, hospitality and the restored village, while each activity retains its own role within the estate. The estate reports organic farming, a current status presented without extending one practice to every non-wine part of the property. Il Borro's present estate brings together Tuscan vineyards, olive groves and restoration under the Ferragamo family.
