Earth, thyme and mineral accents accompany plum and cherry. The Sangiovese has a dry, leathery profile with savoury herbs, firm balance, graceful character and a lingering finish. Greppone Mazzi vineyards lie between 210 and 460 metres, with vines about fifty years old. The wine is made entirely from Sangiovese Grosso and spends thirty-six months in oak barrels and steel tanks.
