Cassis, ripe currant and raspberry lead, with violet, cedar, clove, eucalyptus and black pepper adding lift. About El Enemigo
El Enemigo is an Argentine wine project created by winemaker Alejandro Vigil with Adrianna Catena in Mendoza. The partners began the label around 2009, combining Vigil’s technical experience with Catena’s family and historical perspective on Argentine wine. The winery works with vineyards in several Mendoza districts, including high-elevation sites in the Uco Valley and traditional areas nearer the city. Cabernet Franc has a prominent role, while Malbec, Bonarda, Chardonnay and other grapes appear in separate wines and site expressions. Vineyard sources and cellar choices differ across the portfolio, so no single product sheet is treated as a universal house method. El Enemigo remains the Mendoza partnership of Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena, with Cabernet Franc and Bonarda central to its range.
