Zeni 1870

Zeni’s family wine story began in 1870 with Bartolomeo Zeni, a carter who transported wine and other goods around Lake Garda and also loved painting. Five generations have carried the business from Bardolino into Valpolicella.

Gaetano “Nino” Zeni developed the cellar’s practice of making wines separately by growing area and selecting individual vineyards. For Amarone Barriques, selected hillside grapes dry for four months before an extended fermentation on the skins and maturation in French oak barriques.
