AboutYukon Brewing
Yukon Brewing began in 1997, inspired by an idea shared around a campfire on a canoe trip. First called Chilkoot Brewing Company, it makes beer and spirits on Copper Road in Whitehorse. Its small team takes part in local events and community projects.
The brewery recovers heat to warm the plant and captures cooling water for reuse. Bottles and trays are reused, while solar panels supply part of its electricity.
Two Brewers Release 19 Peated Yukon Single Malt Whisky 750 mL
Crisp peat smoke frames orchard fruit rather than overwhelming it, with honey, citrus and pepper adding lift to the malt. Bottled at 46%, Release 19 is distinctly smoky without the maritime character associated with many island whiskies. The finish is clean and lingering, carrying fruit, spice and measured peat; serve neat or add a few drops of water.
