Von Winning is based in Deidesheim in the Pfalz, with a cellar history dating to 1849. Owned by Jana Niederberger, the estate is managed by Stephan Attmann, with Kurt Rathgeber heading the winemaking.
Vineyards stretch from Neustadt-Haardt through Deidesheim to Forst, with Riesling leading the plantings alongside Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the cellar, wines ferment naturally in oak and spend extended time on their lees, with pumping and filtration kept to a minimum.

Honeyed concentration shapes the opening, with mandarin, grapefruit and quince set against brown butter. The wine is dry, and full oak fermentation adds another layer to the fruit-led profile. Citrus and quince continue through the palate, followed again by the brown-butter note. The finish is long and lingering, moving from the documented fruit and oak-fermentation character toward a distinct stone-like close.
