AboutVincent Paris

Vincent Paris began his Cornas domaine in 1997 with one hectare of old family vines, after four years studying viticulture and winemaking. In 2007, he bought the 1.3-hectare La Geynale parcel from his retiring uncle, Robert Michel. The estate now covers just over ten hectares, including 6.5 in Cornas and smaller holdings in Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage.

In the vineyard, he prunes hard and removes leaves around the bunches by hand. For his Cornas reds, the proportion of whole bunches varies by vineyard, and ageing takes place in used barrels.

Vincent Paris 2024 Cornas Granit 30

French Red
$104.99

Black cherry and raspberry open with dried violet and orange blossom, followed by pepper and warm spice. Medium bodied and vivid, the palate feels polished rather than heavy, with smooth, refined tannins carrying the fruit into a savoury, persistent finish. Give it a brief decant and serve with roast lamb, grilled mushrooms or lentils with herbs.
