AboutViña Falernia

Aldo Olivier Gramola and his cousin Giorgio Flessati founded Viña Falernia in Chile’s Elqui Valley in 1998. Olivier’s family had settled in the region in 1951, and he brought experience in farming and pisco; Flessati brought his winemaking background from Trentino in northern Italy.

About 320 hectares are spread across four vineyard areas, from Pacific-influenced Titón to higher Andean sites. Dry, sunny days and sharp falls in temperature at night make altitude and exposure important to the choice of grapes at each site.
