AboutVilla Sparina

The Moccagatta family established Villa Sparina in the 1970s at Monterotondo, in the hills of Gavi. The estate grew around a restored Piedmont farmhouse and historic cellars, and today brings together a winery, restaurant and accommodation.

Cortese is its principal grape, with the first vintage of its classic Gavi made in 1974. The family also makes Barbera, rosé and bottle-fermented sparkling wines.

The designation is Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi, and the bottle is sealed with a cork.
