In 2007, Rajko Žličar, Danilo Šnajder and Božidar Grabovac pooled their family vineyards, equipment and winemaking experience to establish Verus in eastern Slovenia. Their first Verus cellar was a former bakery in Ormož; the partners came from families that had grown vines and made wine in the region for generations. A purpose-built winery followed in 2018.
Today the vineyards cover about 30 hectares in the Ljutomer–Ormož hills, including terraces around Jeruzalem. Sauvignon, Furmint, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Yellow Muscat are among the varieties grown.

Very pale yellow, with an intense Muscat perfume joined by orange and a restrained touch of peach. The palate is slim, clear and lively, balancing gentle sweetness with bright acidity so the overall impression remains nearly dry. Moderate alcohol keeps the aromatics light on their feet. It finishes fresh and persistent, leaving citrus, peach and a clean floral echo.
