AboutTullibardine
The brewing history of Tullibardine’s site reaches back to 1488, when King James IV bought beer there. After visiting in 1947, William Delme-Evans converted the brewery into a distillery, drawn by water flowing from the Ochil Hills into the Danny Burn.
Whisky production ceased in 1993 and resumed in 2003; the distillery later joined the family-owned Terroir Distillers group in 2011. Malting takes place elsewhere, but milling, fermentation, copper-pot distillation, cask work, maturation and bottling are carried out at the Highland distillery.
Tullibardine Sovereign Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Floral aromas and sweet barley introduce a gently rounded Highland single malt, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Vanilla adds soft richness through the centre, followed by fudge and pear-drop fruit. The finish is smooth and measured, with a quiet line of spice lending definition without overpowering the malt. Serve neat, with a few drops of water, or over a single large cube.
