Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti bought a small property at Notri, near Suvereto, in 1984, hoping to make a home close to the land. Those first two hectares of vines became the starting point for Tua Rita, named by reversing Rita’s first and last names. After Virgilio’s death in 2010, their daughter Simena and her husband Stefano Frascolla continued the work, joined by third-generation Giovanni Frascolla.
The vineyards lie in Alta Maremma between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Metalliferous Hills, with soils of clay, stone and sand. The estate gained Equalitas sustainability certification in 2023.

Blackberry, plum and ripe black cherry meet cocoa, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is smooth, with silky tannins and bracing acidity carrying structural balance through the finish. Fresh sage, flowers, raspberry, earth and iron add detail, while chalky tannins close the profile. The blend brings together Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah from younger Tuscan vineyard selections.

Deep purple with generous layers of blueberry preserve, ripe plum and blackberry, followed by dark chocolate, licorice, black pepper, vanilla and incense. Full-bodied and lush, the palate carries its concentration with polished tannins and controlled richness. The finish is exceptionally long, dark-fruited and warmly spiced without losing balance.
