AboutThe GlenAllachie Distillery
Designed by William Delmé-Evans, GlenAllachie was built in Speyside in 1967 and began distilling the following year. His design used gravity to help move production through the distillery.
In 2017, Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson bought GlenAllachie from Chivas Brothers, bringing it into independent ownership. The first core single-malt range followed in 2018, giving greater prominence to whisky previously used largely in blends. Cask selection is central to the range, with sherry, bourbon, wine and new oak casks used in different combinations across the bottlings.

Dark chocolate, treacle and heather honey open the nose, with cinnamon, espresso and sticky raisin adding depth. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, bringing marzipan and orchard fruit together with mocha, butterscotch and grated nutmeg. Sweet spice and dark roasted coffee give the whisky richness, while the fruit keeps the profile composed and lifted. The finish is warming and persistent, carrying cocoa, toffee and gentle oak spice. Serve neat or add a small splash of water.
