John and James Grant founded their distillery in the Speyside town of Rothes in 1840. Later, James “The Major” Grant expanded the distillery and created its Victorian garden in 1886, with orchards and exotic plants.
Glen Grant uses Scottish barley and water from Caperdonich Spring. Its tall, slender pot stills have water-cooled purifiers that send heavier vapours back for redistillation, producing a light, floral spirit before it enters a cask.

Ripe pear and apple lead a bright orchard-fruit aroma, joined by toasted bread, cinnamon and a fresh grassy note. The palate is balanced and gently malty, with vanilla and soft sweetness supporting pear, orange zest and a subtle touch of kiwi. Toast and cinnamon return through a clean, warming finish, adding structure without obscuring the fruit. Approachable yet detailed, it can be served neat or with a few drops of water.
