The Free Spirits Company

Milan Martin founded Free Spirits in Marin County to give cocktail drinkers more control over alcohol content. Its non-alcoholic spirits can replace a traditional spirit in a cocktail or be mixed with one to reduce the drink’s alcohol content.

The company calls its process Distillate Reconstruction: it studies the flavours of classic spirits, distils flavours from natural ingredients and blends them into non-alcoholic alternatives. American white oak, European juniper and Mexican blue agave are among the materials used across its recipes. The collection includes alternatives to bourbon, gin, tequila, Italian aperitivo and red vermouth, as well as ready-to-drink cocktails.
