Deeply coloured and strikingly mature, with dried fruit, leather, fig, tobacco and candied cherry joined by flashes of raspberry, pomegranate and dried rose. Four years under a veil of yeast give the palate unusual depth and savoury complexity. Rich, muscular and earthy, with dusty tannins and a substantial, cigar-toned finish.
