AboutTait Wines

Giovanni Tait moved from Italy to South Australia in 1957 to work as a cooper, a trade he had learned from his father and grandfather. He later founded Tait Wines with his sons in the Barossa Valley, and Bruno Tait now leads the winemaking at Lyndoch.

The winery works with low-yielding Barossa fruit, using open fermentation, extended maceration and basket pressing, followed by maturation on site. Its signature Ball Buster combines Shiraz with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Tait 2018 Ball Buster

Australian Red
$41.99
A full-bodied Barossa blend driven by Shiraz, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon adding roundness and structure. Dark berry fruit and savoury spice lead into a rich, juicy palate, while time in seasoned French and American oak brings gentle toast rather than overt sweetness. Balanced and persistent, it is built for generous food: grilled steak, braised beef or smoky sausages.
