AboutStemmari
Stemmari grows grapes at Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate, two estates on Sicily’s southern side. Its vineyard and winemaking teams oversee roughly 700 hectares, planted with both Sicilian and international varieties.
Its cellar was designed in a traditional Sicilian style, with temperature-controlled winemaking equipment. Water collection and purification, renewable energy and cover crops are part of its environmental work.
Stemmari 2023 Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC
Deep ruby-red colour shows violet reflections. Currant, wild strawberry and pomegranate accompany a soft, velvety and fruity profile. Nero d’Avola from Sambuca di Sicilia is grown on clay-like terrain. After destemming, alcoholic fermentation takes place with the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation with selected bacteria. The wine then matures in French barriques and carries thirteen percent alcohol.
