AboutStélaïa
Stélaïa grew from three village cooperatives founded between 1939 and 1950 around Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers, Valflaunès and Notre-Dame-de-Londres. The cellars merged as Les Coteaux du Pic in 1993; the cooperative has been known as Stélaïa since 2026.
The cooperative draws on roughly 805 hectares, making wines from Pic Saint-Loup, Languedoc and Pays d’Oc. Its vineyards include limestone soils and varied exposures around the Pic.
Les Déesses Muettes 2024 Pinot Noir Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
Bright and expressive, with red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry layered over leather, gentle earth and a cool mineral note. Blackberry adds depth without making the palate feel heavy, while restrained oak, vanilla and tobacco bring savoury detail. Fine acidity keeps the fruit clear through a smooth, composed finish. Serve slightly cool with roast poultry, mushrooms, veal or herb-led pasta.
Les Déesses Muettes 2023 Merlot Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
Soft and dry, with a rounded, easy-flowing profile that favours suppleness over weight. The palate stays straightforward and approachable, keeping its structure gentle and its finish composed. Serve at cool room temperature with roast chicken, pork tenderloin, lentils, mushroom dishes or mild cheeses; it is a relaxed, table-ready red from southern France, well suited to weeknight dinners.
Les Déesses Muettes 2024 Viognier Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
Expressive and rounded, with melon, peach and pear joined by fresh citrus, orange and pineapple. A subtle creamy note gives the palate breadth without dulling its lift, while a quiet stony edge keeps the finish composed. Serve well chilled with grilled prawns, roast chicken, creamy vegetable dishes or soft cheese; it also works beautifully as a generous aperitif.
Les Déesses Muettes 2024 Chardonnay Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
Pale yellow with golden highlights, opening on fresh flowers and ripe exotic fruit. The palate is fleshy but composed, with rounded fruit held in balance by a clear line of freshness. Harmonious and approachable rather than overtly rich, it finishes clean and gently aromatic. Serve well chilled as an aperitif or with shellfish, grilled fish and simply dressed seafood.
Les Déesses Muettes La Farandole Rouge
An easy-drinking red from Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, with a fruit-forward profile and clear aromatic lift. Direct and approachable in style, it places generous fruit and immediate pleasure at the centre. The open, uncomplicated character makes it a versatile choice for relaxed meals, simple grilled dishes or casual gatherings.
