AboutSt. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery

St. Supéry began with Robert Skalli’s purchase of Dollarhide in Napa Valley’s northeastern hills in 1982. The winery opened at Rutherford in 1989, and the Skalli family sold the estate to CHANEL in 2015. All its wines are made and bottled from estate-grown grapes.

Rutherford grows Bordeaux red varieties on alluvial soils, while Dollarhide’s varied hillsides are particularly associated with Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit from individual blocks is fermented separately, allowing the cellar team to work with each parcel on its own.

American Red
$149.99
Vibrant deep red and purple colour accompanies black plum, blackberry, anise, graphite, dark cocoa, espresso and toasted barrel. Cassis, black pepper and black liquorice are also present, with length and fine-grained tannins. The blend is sixty-five percent Cabernet Sauvignon, twenty-two percent Merlot and nine percent Malbec, with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the balance.

St. Supéry 2022 Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

American White
$96.99
Pale yellow and green hues accompany grapefruit, kiwi, fennel and a vanillin thread. Yellow grapefruit, lime zest and ripe pear meet toasted oak, round richness and creaminess. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and subtle new French oak, followed by five months of sur-lie maturation before the final blend is assembled. The estate vineyard lies in Napa Valley.

St. Supéry 2019 Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

American Red
$179.99
Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum lead a concentrated nose, joined by boysenberry, anise, toasted oak and a light graphite note. The palate is full-bodied and opulent yet fresh, with polished, fine-grained tannins carrying the dark fruit through cocoa, vanilla and subtle earthy tones. A savoury tobacco edge adds complexity before a long, composed finish. Decant before serving with roast beef, lamb shoulder or grilled portobello mushrooms.

St. Supéry 2016 Napa Valley Estate Oak Free Chardonnay

American White
$52.99
Dried apricot, cantaloupe and pear open the nose, with a subtle note of orange marmalade adding warmth. The palate turns fresher, carrying Asian pear, nectarine and apricot through a crisp, clean finish. Bright and fruit-driven, with no oak weight, it is a polished match for roast chicken, grilled prawns, creamy pasta, soft cheeses or simply prepared white fish.
