Scopone
AboutScopone
Scopone lies southeast of Montalcino, between the town and Sant’Antimo, with views toward Mount Amiata. The wine business began in 1996, after Giacomo Tachis helped recognise the site’s potential. The Minari family bought the estate in 2021, and Cristina Minari moved from Bologna to lead it.
Its 12 hectares of vines are planted mainly to Sangiovese, with smaller parcels of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The vineyards lie on limestone-rich slopes, with individual parcels mapped to guide their cultivation.
