Friends Pedro Andrés and Jorge Nájera started Satvrnal in Zapopan, Jalisco, as first-generation distillers. Both came from art and design, developing a workshop where they could experiment with fermentation and distillation. Their early equipment included a compact copper still for small-scale trials with different raw materials and methods. The name refers to Saturnalia, the Roman festival.

Delicate citrus and flowers lead the nose, with a quiet grain sweetness underneath. The palate is smooth and velvety, bringing creamy vanilla into focus before a cool mineral note restores freshness. Made entirely from grain, it has enough body to feel polished while remaining clean and versatile. The finish is soft, lightly floral and gently mineral rather than sharply neutral. Serve well chilled, in a Vodka Martini or with soda and a strip of citrus peel.
