At a mature peak, the colour is medium-dark ruby with an amber edge. Toffee, roasted coffee, fudge and cherry lead the bouquet, with ginger, cacao, liquorice and tobacco adding complexity. Sweet but balanced, the medium-bodied palate is elegant and ready to enjoy, finishing long with butterscotch and warm spice. Stand upright and decant carefully before serving.
