Salish Sea Spirits is a family-run distillery in Powell River, with family roots on British Columbia’s coast stretching back several generations. It ferments and distils British Columbia honey to make the base for its gin and vodka, rather than starting with grain. Production is in small batches, using mountain water and many botanicals and flavouring ingredients sourced within the province.

Bull kelp and oyster shell bring a distinctly coastal savoury edge, supported by clean juniper and a soft floral sweetness from a British Columbia honey base. Small-batch production and triple distillation create a silky, composed texture, allowing the maritime botanicals to remain clear without turning briny or heavy. The palate balances gentle salinity, herbal freshness and rounded honeyed depth. A crisp, coastal finish leaves subtle mineral and botanical notes behind. Serve over ice, with a dry tonic or in a Martini with a restrained amount of vermouth.
