AboutRecaredo
In 1924, Josep Mata Capellades built a cellar beneath his family home in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, beginning the sparkling-wine house of Recaredo. The third generation took over in 2008, and Recaredo joined Corpinnat, the Penedès sparkling-wine collective, in 2018.
The family farms 100 hectares of vineyards without irrigation, using organic and biodynamic methods, with Xarel·lo making up most of the plantings. Its vintage Brut Nature sparkling wines age under natural cork, with bottles turned by hand and their sediment removed without freezing.
Recaredo Relats de Viticultors Brut Nature
Ripe yellow fruit, apricot and citrus peel meet delicate herbal and floral notes. Bone-dry and energetic, the palate is driven by fine bubbles, bright acidity and a firm stony-mineral line, finishing long, chalky and saline. Traditional bottle ageing under natural cork and hand disgorgement support its precise character. Serve with oysters, shellfish, cured ham or fried seafood.
Recaredo 2018 Terrers Brut Nature
Fine bubbles carry a bone-dry, elegant profile, with tension and ripeness held in careful balance. The palate is long, nuanced and distinctly wine-led, its generous fruit kept fresh by a taut, precise frame. A composed sparkling wine with more depth than froth. Serve with oysters, jamón, grilled fish or aged cheeses.
