AboutRadikon
Radikon is a family winery in Oslavia, where Stanko Radikon bottled his first wine in 1979. In 1995, he began keeping his white wines on their grape skins for much longer, developing the amber-coloured wines for which the estate became known. Saša Radikon introduced the shorter-skin-contact S line in 2009 and continued the estate with his family after Stanko’s death in 2016.
The vineyards lie on steep slopes near the Slovenian border, in the layered marl and sandstone soils known locally as ponca. The family farms without synthetic chemicals but chooses not to seek organic or biodynamic certification.
Radikon 2019 Sivi Pinot Grigio
Italian White
Roses, cranberry, tangerine and red pomelo lead a vivid, complex bouquet, joined by fresh herbs and a gentle tea-like note. The skin-contact palate is savoury and mineral, with bright acidity, fine tannic grip and a saline finish. Serve lightly chilled with grilled vegetables, charcuterie or richer seafood dishes.
