AboutQuinta da Costa do Pinhão
Quinta da Costa do Pinhão has remained with the Lobato de Sousa family for six generations, on slopes above the Pinhão River in Cima Corgo. The estate supplied grapes to Port houses for decades; Miguel Morais restored its nineteenth-century winery in 2014 for estate table-wine production.
The vineyards rise from 200 to 450 metres on schist, with slopes facing south-east through south-west. Among them is Peladosa, a small old-vine parcel with a seam of quartz, which Morais chose to preserve rather than replant. The estate favours organic farming and fermentation with native yeasts.

Portuguese Red
Fresh and mineral-led, with sapid plum and wild raspberry unfolding alongside rock rose, graphite, worn leather and beeswax. The palate carries ample yet finely placed tannins, giving the old-vine fruit structure without obscuring its energy. Pink peppercorn and schist-like mineral detail linger through a vibrant, savoury and persistent finish.
