Andrew and Laurel Quady founded Quady Winery in Madera in 1975, beginning with a small harvest of Zinfandel-based fortified wine. Andrew brought a background in chemistry and winemaking studies, while Laurel’s accounting practice helped support the business through its early years.
Orange Muscat and Black Muscat became central to the winery’s sweet wines. Vya vermouth followed in 1999, after two years of development.

Lavender, linden, elecampane and rosebuds shape an herbaceous, citrus-led profile. Golden raisin and dried apple meet lemon peel, sage and grapefruit, with a dry finish and mouthwatering acidity. The base combines dry California white wine with Essensia Orange Muscat, then receives more than fifteen botanicals. This vermouth can be served in a martini or over ice with lemon.
