AboutPleasure Gardens Distilling Co.

Johnny Neill created The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company around the 2016 launch of Marylebone Gin, drawing inspiration from the neighbourhood’s Georgian pleasure gardens. Neill’s family has a long history in British distilling. His Marylebone Gin recipe uses thirteen botanicals, including lemon balm, lime flower and chamomile alongside juniper, citrus and spice. A fifty-litre copper still called Isabella was installed at the Marylebone Hotel for small on-site and experimental batches; larger commercial volumes were made at Thames Distillers.

Mary-Le-Bone London Dry Gin

British Gin
$62.99

Juniper provides a clear, dry backbone, lifted by grapefruit and the softer citrus character of lemon balm. Lime flower and chamomile add a delicate floral layer, while clove, liquorice and pink peppercorn bring measured warmth and spice. The botanical profile is detailed but composed, moving from fresh citrus and flowers into a savoury, gently peppery finish. Serve with a restrained tonic and grapefruit peel, or use in a crisp Martini where the juniper and floral notes can remain distinct.
