Château Pibran is a Pauillac estate. AXA Millésimes acquired the property in 1987 and expanded it in 2001 with the addition of Tour Pibran, bringing the vineyard to about seventeen hectares. Its vines occupy Garonne-gravel ground in the north of the appellation, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as the principal varieties.
Pierre Montégut and the Pichon Baron team oversee Pibran’s vineyard and cellar. Grapes are picked by hand, sorted and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats; the wines are then aged in barrel.
Château Tour Pibran 2022 Pauillac
French Red
Plum and sweet berry aromas lead, joined by loamy earth and a clear note of licorice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, with polished tannins supporting a succulent core of fruit. Sweet berry and plum stay at the centre, while soil and licorice provide contrast. The final impression is generous and fruit-led, with the earthy notes remaining clearly defined.
