Château Perron
Château Perron
AboutChâteau Perron
Château Perron stands beside the medieval church of Lalande-de-Pomerol, on a property whose château dates to the mid-seventeenth century. The Massonie family has owned it for three generations and managed it as a family estate since 1958; Béatrice, Bertrand and Thibault have represented the château since 2000. With support from the Crouvezier family, the vineyard expanded from 23 to 36 hectares, all within Lalande-de-Pomerol.
The estate has an older story beneath the vines: work on underground vats in 1960 uncovered prehistoric stones, some already polished and others still being prepared. A curator from the Museum of Saintes linked the finds to a Neolithic polishing workshop.

French Red
Ripe blackcurrant opens the aroma, joined by subtle cedar and a graphite-like mineral note. The palate is velvety and dark-fruited, with tobacco leaf and gentle spice adding savoury depth. Medium-to-full in body, it carries well-integrated tannins that give shape without hardness. The finish is lingering and elegant, leaving dark fruit, cedar and restrained earthy detail in a composed, balanced line.
