AboutPalari
Palari is Salvatore Geraci’s estate in the hills above the Strait of Messina, in the Faro DOC area of northeastern Sicily. Geraci revived wine production at his family’s eighteenth-century villa, working with native Sicilian grapes.
Old head-trained vines occupy steep stone terraces around Santo Stefano di Briga, rising high above the coast yet remaining close to the sea. Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Nocera lead a broader set of local varieties, and the slopes must be harvested by hand. The wines mature in French oak and bottle, without fining or filtration.

Italian Red
Black fruit, forest berries and cassis meet smoke, tar, leather and a restrained note of toasted wood. The palate is broad and savoury, with delicate fruit carried by notable freshness rather than weight alone. Firm, fine tannins and steady acidity give the wine a dry, structured shape, while liquorice and mineral detail build through a long, balanced finish with a distinctly saline edge.
