AboutOssian

Ossian works around Nieva in Segovia, where sandy soils helped protect old, ungrafted Verdejo vines from phylloxera. According to the winery, some vines are between 100 and 200 years old. Alma Carraovejas joined the project in 2013, and Ossian farms roughly 110 hectares across the terraces of the Voltoya River.

The vineyards are cultivated organically, with each plot tended according to its soil, vine age and exposure. Fermentation uses native yeasts, and the cellar works with both stainless steel and wooden barrels.
