AboutArianna Occhipinti
Arianna Occhipinti’s estate took root beside the old millstone at Fossa di Lupo, starting from one hectare before expanding across the vineyard districts around Vittoria. Red sands lie over limestone, tufa and gypsum. Roughly thirty hectares of vines grow alongside olives, grain, fruit and vegetables. The estate uses organic and biodynamic farming methods.
Arianna Occhipinti 2022 SP68 Bianco
Perfumed exotic fruit and white flowers lead an aromatic, textural white, with peach, red apple and orange blossom bringing generous fruit. Stony minerality and a gentle skin-contact grip add shape, while salinity keeps the finish fresh and detailed. Complex without heaviness, it pairs beautifully with grilled prawns, roasted vegetables or aromatic Mediterranean dishes.
Arianna Occhipinti 2024 SP68 Rosso
Red cherry, pomegranate, raspberry leaf and warm Mediterranean herbs accompany a vibrant, silky profile with fine tannins, savoury mineral tension and a long, refreshing finish. Frappato accounts for seventy percent of the blend, with Nero d’Avola at thirty percent. Native-yeast co-fermentation takes place in concrete with fifteen days on skins; maturation continues for seven months in concrete and one month in bottle.
Occhipinti 2022 Siccagno Nero d’Avola
Intense, bright ruby colour introduces berry jam, Mediterranean scrub, cinchona, tamarind and spice. The palate is powerful and vigorous, with austere tannins, freshness and glyceric softness. Bitter cocoa appears on the long finish. Made entirely from Nero d’Avola, the red wine carries the Terre Siciliane IGT designation and contains thirteen percent alcohol. Suggested pairings include lamb, mature cheese, pasta and beef fillet.
