AboutNk'Mip Cellars
Nk’Mip Cellars is an Indigenous-owned and operated winery in Osoyoos, in the southern Okanagan Valley. Its name, pronounced in-ka-meep, means “Bottomland”. Estate Winemaker Justin Hall, an Osoyoos Indian Band member, has built his career at Nk’Mip and now directs its cellar work. The reserve range takes its name from the Syilx phrase Qwam Qwmt, meaning “achieving excellence”.
Nk’Mip 2022 Qwam Qwmt Cabernet Sauvignon
Canadian Red
Rich and structured, with black cherry, plum and cassis joined by rosemary, dark spice and a subtle herbal note. The concentrated palate carries ripe black fruit through firm, complete tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a long, composed finish. Decant before serving with grilled beef, venison, braised short ribs or aged cheddar.
