Nickel & Nickel

Nickel & Nickel was established in 1997 by the partners of Far Niente to make single-vineyard wines, each from one grape variety. Its vineyard map reaches across Oakville, Yountville, Rutherford, Saint Helena, Howell Mountain, Diamond Mountain and other Napa appellations.

The winery itself occupies the historic John Sullenger farmstead in Oakville, purchased and restored by Gil Nickel and his partners during the 1990s. A modern winery and underground cellar were added to the historic houses and barns, and the estate opened to visitors in 2003.
