AboutNestor Winery
Nestor Winery traces its roots to 1954, when eight hundred Messinian winegrowers formed a winemaking cooperative. The present company was created in 2015 through a partnership between that cooperative and the Spyros Lafazanis family of Nemea. Its winery stands at Pyrgos Trifylias in southwestern Messinia, overlooking the Bay of Navarino and only a few kilometres from the palace associated with King Nestor.
The vineyards grow Greek varieties including Fileri, Moschofilero, Roditis, Fokiano and Mandilaria alongside international grapes. A small experimental winery within the main facility allows the team to study individual grape varieties and batches.
Nestor Winery 2025 Fileri Rosé de Gris Trifylia
Cherry, strawberry, blood orange, white flowers, spice and peach form a fruity, full-flavoured profile. The wine is made entirely from Fileri grown at 300 to 400 metres on clay-sand soils. One day of skin maceration precedes fermentation in stainless steel at fifteen to seventeen degrees. The wine then rests on its lees for several weeks.
