Francis and Christophe Delorme founded Domaine de la Mordorée in the southern Rhône in 1986. The domaine’s 57 hectares span 38 parcels in eight communes, with wines from Tavel, Lirac and Châteauneuf-du-Pape among its range. Madeleine and her daughter Ambre continue Christophe’s work with the team he formed.
The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, and harvesting is by hand. The cellar uses indigenous yeasts, with tank and cask chosen to suit each wine.

Cherry, raspberry and strawberry shape this Grenache-led Rhône red. The wine is medium- to full-bodied, taut and crisp, with silky tannins at the finish. Grenache accounts for 90% of the blend. It comes from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, an appellation in the Rhône region of southern France. Its fruit profile is somewhat redder than usual for this cuvée.
