AboutMoon Curser

Chris and Beata Tolley began Moon Curser in 2004 by converting an old Osoyoos orchard into a vineyard and winery, initially called Twisted Tree. The later name recalls Osoyoos gold smugglers whose night crossings could be exposed by moonlight. The winery makes wines from varieties unusual in the Okanagan, including Arneis, Dolcetto, Touriga Nacional, Carménère, Tannat and Tempranillo. In 2024, the Dhaliwal family of South Okanagan grape growers acquired the winery.

Moon Curser 2025 Viognier

Canadian White
$29.99

Medium straw colour accompanies ambrosia apple, rose petal, pear and grapefruit aromas. White stone fruit, honeysuckle and orange blossom join a rich, round, slightly oily texture, while acidity and minerality carry through the finish. The Viognier was hand-picked, sorted twice, whole-cluster pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation or lees stirring. The wine is vegan.

Moon Curser 2019 Border Vines

Canadian Red
$33.99

Black cherry, cinnamon, blackberry and sweet tobacco appear with lavender, violet and a subtle blueberry-pie note. The palate is mouth-filling, with naturally balanced acidity, structured yet approachable tannins and toasty oak. The blend contains sixty-nine percent Cabernet Sauvignon, fifteen percent Malbec, ten percent Petit Verdot, three percent Carménère and three percent Cabernet Franc. Fruit came from Osoyoos East Bench vineyards, and thirty-one percent of the French oak was new. The wine is vegan.

Moon Curser 2015 Carménère

Canadian Red
$51.99

Plum, green peppercorn, ripe raspberry, fennel seed, cherry, pomegranate, vanilla and cedar shape the profile. The wine is medium-bodied, with balanced acidity, soft tannins and a juicy impression; the finish is long and silky. Carménère comes from the Home and Stubbs vineyards on the Osoyoos East Bench. Hand-picked clusters are sorted in the vineyard and destemmed. Fermentation takes place at low temperature, and maturation uses French oak barriques, about one quarter new.

Moon Curser 2025 Dolcetto

Canadian Red
$35.99

Ripe blackberry, cherry and plum lead, with violet, gentle spice and the variety’s lightly bitter edge. Unoaked and raised in stainless steel, the palate stays juicy and medium-bodied, with fresh acidity, modest tannin and a clean, savoury finish. Serve slightly cool with pizza, grilled sausages, tomato-based pasta or roast vegetables.

Moon Curser 2021 Touriga Nacional

Canadian Red
$58.99

Rich, jammy black fruit leads, supported by a savoury undercurrent and a pronounced smoky character. The palate is full and concentrated, with ripe fruit carrying substantial weight before the smoke becomes more assertive through the finish. Bold and distinctive, this is a direct expression for drinkers who favour dark fruit and an emphatically smoke-led profile.

Moon Curser 2021 Arneis

Canadian White
$30.99

Gala apple, apricot and white flowers lead a youthful, aromatic nose, joined by mint and yellow orchard fruit. The palate balances fleshy mid-palate weight with mouth-watering acidity, bringing kiwi, melon, grapefruit rind and Meyer lemon into focus. A clean mineral line carries the fruit through a graceful, zesty finish.
