AboutMastroberardino
Mastroberardino traces its work in Atripalda, near Avellino, into the mid-eighteenth century; ten generations of the family have carried the estate forward from the same Irpinian base. Angelo Mastroberardino registered the business in 1878 and began exporting its wines through Europe, work that the next generation extended to North and Latin America. In the decades after phylloxera and war, Antonio Mastroberardino defended local grape varieties and led a replanting programme that helped restore Irpinian viticulture.
Piero Mastroberardino has directed the family business since the mid-1990s. Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, Piedirosso and Coda di Volpe remain central to the estate, whose vineyards span the Irpinian territory of Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo.
