Mas del Périé

Fabien Jouves established Mas del Périé in 2006 on the limestone plateau above Cahors, returning to land his family had farmed for generations. Malbec is the principal grape, with wines made parcel by parcel.

Jouves has farmed biodynamically since 2011, and the estate is certified by Demeter. Fermentation uses native yeasts, with concrete, large wooden casks, barrels or amphora chosen according to the wine.
