AboutMarqués de Cáceres

Marqués de Cáceres was founded in Cenicero in 1970 by Enrique Forner, who returned to Spain after building his wine career in France. Working with Bordeaux winemaking adviser Émile Peynaud, Forner focused on vineyard selection and controlled fermentation. The first wines, released in 1975, emphasised fruit and finesse.

A dedicated winery for white wines followed in Rueda in 2014, beyond the house’s Rioja base.

Marqués de Cáceres 2022 Ecológico Rioja

Spanish Red
$28.99
Wild berries and dark cherry lead, with smoky liquorice, vanilla and gentle spice adding depth. The palate is soft and fruit-forward, balancing a supple texture with fresh acidity and restrained American oak. Whole-berry fermentation keeps the red fruit vivid through the smooth finish, making this organically certified Rioja an easy match for barbecue lamb chops, chicken wings or firm cheeses.
