AboutManvi
Manvi is the family wine estate of Puru and Sudha Manvi, a Canadian-Swiss couple of Indian origin who left banking careers to build a new life in Montepulciano. They began the estate in October 2015, working vineyards that had been certified organic since 2003.
About 20 acres across two sites yield 25,000 to 30,000 bottles in a typical year. Prugnolo Gentile leads the plantings, alongside smaller parcels of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and white grapes. The winery uses only estate-grown fruit, fermenting with indigenous yeasts and choosing stainless steel or oak according to the wine.
Manvi 2022 Myra Rosso di Montepulciano DOC
Italian Red
Wild berries and cherries meet delicate floral notes in a fresh, balanced profile. The blend is led by Sangiovese with a small portion of Merlot, bringing richness and complexity without leaving the fruit behind. Twelve months in stainless-steel containers are followed by at least six months in bottle. It suits pasta, grilled chicken and medium-aged cheeses.

The colour is bright, intense ruby, while the aroma is restrained. The palate is full-bodied, with hearty tannins and fruit that is very well integrated. Earthy tones are present, and the finish is creamy. This organically produced Sangiovese comes from Tuscany in Italy and contains fourteen percent alcohol. A cork is used for the closure.
