AboutMaison Audebert et Fils

Maison Audebert et Fils has worked from Bourgueil since 1839 and tends 42 hectares across several central-Loire appellations. The estate works exclusively with Cabernet Franc—locally called Breton—across Bourgueil, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Chinon and Saumur-Champigny. Winemaking takes place at Domaine du Grand Clos.

The vineyards include sandy and gravelly ground, different clay soils and tuffeau limestone. Destemmed grapes ferment and macerate for two to three weeks in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks with native yeasts and bacteria. The cellar uses 600-litre casks for ageing, with bottling timed to the vintage.

Maison Audebert et Fils Bourgueil 3 L Box

French Red
$114.99

Black raspberry and red cherry lead a bright, easygoing Cabernet Franc profile, with earthy and chalky notes adding savoury definition. The palate is fresh and fruit-driven rather than heavy, balancing ripe berry flavour with gentle structure and a clean citrus lift on the finish. The generous box format makes it a practical choice for gatherings while preserving the region’s lively, food-friendly character. Serve lightly cool with roast poultry, sausages, mushroom dishes or a casual charcuterie board.
