AboutChâteau Lynch-Bages

The Pauillac land around Château Lynch-Bages has been used for wine since the sixteenth century. The property took its modern name after Thomas Lynch acquired it in 1750, and it was ranked a Fifth Growth in Bordeaux’s 1855 classification. The Cazes family has guided the estate since 1939.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominates plantings in deep Garonne gravel across the estate’s hundred-plus hectares, accompanied by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small share of Petit Verdot. A new gravity-led cellar opened for the 2020 vintage.
